Ketupat Nails For Hari Raya

First of all, I would like to say Happy Ied Mubarak for all my Muslim fellas around the world. It has been a week since that Hari Raya, but the euphoria is still in the air. For any mistakes and wrong doings that I may have done throughout the year that might have hurt you, I sincerely ask for your forgiveness. Hehe. Well, if we talk about Hari Raya dish, you can escape from the chosen one, ketupat. It is a food which made from rice that is wrapped with a wrapper made of young woven palm leaves. That's why for today, I decided to make simple nail art which inspired from ketupat. Enjoy peeps!

I started with 2 coats as base color from Maybelline Color Show - Mint Mojito. Then with Ingrid Nail Polish, I made each line manually with my long nail brushes. It's much easier to make line with long brushes. Finish with top coat.

I was searching for ketupat nails inspired and mostly done with fish braid style. So I made some fishtail for my ring finger, but somehow it looks bad. Maybe the combination of the color that I used, I don't know. I just don't like it. So I removed it and change it in to some-kind-of-fishtail-shape.

This Ketupat isn't only as a food, it has meaning actually. That said, the complexity of webbing that wraps ketupat is a symbol of human mistakes that wraps our hearts. While the white rice inside, symbolizes of purity after thru the Ramadhan in a month.

Well, that's all my Raya nails which inspired by ketupat, the must-have-item in Hari Raya. Just in case if you don't know what kind of food that ketupat, I give you the look of it. Hehe.

Here all kind of food which I have during Hari Raya in my grandmother house, where all my big family were gathered. Rendang, konro, coto, opor, buras, ketupat, cookies and all, just in the right place. I can't tell you one by one bcuz too many delicious food in one table! Haha. I hope these lovely food doesn't make you starving bcuz they all taste really good. Hehe.

The next day, my friends and I went to Silaturahmi in one of my friend house. She prepare these for us! Barobbo and fruits soup. Barobbo is basically made from corn on the cob. Served with perkedel, fried onions, lemon and chili grind. While fruit soup made from various kinds of fruits such as grapes, apples, watermelon, pears, jackfruit, mixed with milk, lemon syrup and ice cubes. Absolutely yummy!

That's all for today. Sorry for the food spam. Haha. I'm such a happy girl bcuz I can still celebrate the feast this year along with my lil family completely, my mom and dad, and my only lil brother. Let's pray that we still met in Ramadan next year with all our beloved ones. Amin. Once again, Happy Ied Mubarak everyone! Mohon maaf lahir dan batin. Have a wonderful celebration with all your beloved family and friends! ^^
