Mix and Match in Red

Actually I always wanted to change the shape of my squoval nails into square nails like most of nail-art has. But for some reason, I didn't dare to do it. I'm afraid the square shape wouldn't be comfortable for me. So I put it off for some considerable time.

Though I really want square nails, but somehow my anxiety is always greater than my curiosity. That's another point of my weakness.

Until I saw one of my friends, Charlotte, a very talented nail art, transform her nails into square shape. And her new nails like hypnotizing me to immediately change my nails to be like hers. So, I change my nails in to square RIGHT AWAY! Haha.. I run out of the idea for the design, so I just made something like splattered blood or whatsoever. Lol. Actually I'm not really confident to show it off bcuz it's not that good design. But if you don't mind, please take a look below.

It took me a long time to make this square shape bcuz this is the first time I make it since I was born. But it seems, still looks slightly curved shape, isn't? :/

So after changing my nails, I wasn't so comfortable with this square shape. Really, I mean it. It feel weird. Oh well, maybe bcuz it just the first time. I dunno. But this shape really not suitable for me at all.

No matter how many times I see it, it still looks like squoval or something like that. Maybe like Char say, my nails are kinda slim. And not like some people which have such a big nails, I have small nails. Yeah, typical of Asian maybe.

That's all. So what do you think? Which one is the most suitable for me, squoval or square? To be honest, I'm not so comfortable with square nails. But I'll give it try. Hehe.. See you ladies~ :)

  1. Yay CC! they look great!! I know what you mean about them feeling strange, but you do get used to them! I actually think square suits slim nails well because the square shape makes them look wider, which wouldn't be flattering on already wide nails!
I think you suit both square and squoval, but go with what you're most comfortable with! My corners were so sharp at first but they become less sharp after a few days :D
    Gorgeous designs CC! xx

    1. Yep, I agree with you Char. After I change my nails, I feel like they become wider. It makes me happy a bit bcuz my nails are so small. Hahaha.. And of course, I'll get used to them soon. It just about time.. :)
I experience it as well. I was several times pierced by my sharp nails at the corners. But after a few days, not anymore. Like I say, about time.. :D
Thank you Charlotte! Glad you praise me. Now I'm a bit confident with my newly square nails.. xx :)

You should be very confident with them, you have lovely nails! I feel like mine are even stronger now too. Do you notice that? xx

    3. Lol, me too.. Haha!!
Yeah, now I'll walk confidently showing my gorgeous square nails to everyone.. :D
Oh I thought it's only me, but now you say it.. Yes, my nails before with squoval are so soft like easy to break. But now, I feel like they become stronger or something. Is it bcuz the square shape? If so, who knows square nails have so much advantages!! Gotta love it!! xx :D

  2. I really like the square nails on you!!! Yes I think square nails are stronger and bend less easily but the corners of my squared nails always break!! So I guess I never really have square nails more like squoval haha

But maybe I would consider mine to be squoval in the future. I don't do well with square tbh. Haha yeah, mine too. The corners are easily eroded. So somehow, it looks back again like squoval. I guess I may never be able to leave squoval indeed. Haha.. :D
